BigBenta Corporation is an Internet Software Company that aims to develop applications for the use of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It is a locally owned corporation established last March 2015.

About BigBenta Authentication and Verification (A&V) policy

What is Authentication & Verification (A&V)?

A&V is BigBenta’s unique approach to ensure that all stores registered on its platform are legitimate and can be trusted by customers. It uses a third party partner to evaluate businesses before they can set up a store and post products in the BigBenta store.

Why should I undergo A&V prior to becoming a BigBenta Store Owner?

BigBenta wants to promote an ecommerce environment where buyers and sellers can safely and confidently transact their business. This is the thrust of our company.

What if I refuse to undergo A&V process of BigBenta?

We encourage you to undergo this simple A&V requirement to set up your online store.

How long does it take to complete this A&V process?

It only takes a maximum of three (3) days for businesses located in Metro Manila and seven (7) days for provincial areas. Please ensure that your company documents are prepared for the scheduled visit.

Is this for free?

Yes, the A&V assessment is free. However, if there is a need to reschedule a visit due to incomplete requirements, there will be minimal charges that will be applied.

Who will conduct the A&V process?

The A&V process will be conducted by an accredited and credible third party partner who has been in the business for over six (6) years.

Can I assign my representative to coordinate during the A&V process?

BigBenta understands how busy you are, hence we are giving you the flexibility to designate a contact person from your company to transact with the A&V partner.

BigBenta has very strict Information Security Policy in place to prevent the un-authorized distribution of confidential information of all our store owners. Data security is a priority for Bigbenta.

About BigBenta Payment and Transaction policy

What forms of payment are accepted by BigBenta for Store subscription?

Storeowners can pay via credit card, over-the-counter payments (OTC), and bank deposit.

What payment is accepted by BigBenta for Store item purchase?

Buyers can pay for items via credit card, over-the-counter (OTC), bank deposit, and cash-on-delivery (COD). COD as a payment option will be the prerogative of the Store Owner if he wants to activate it in the store settings.

Can I cancel my ordered item?

Purchased items can be cancelled 24 hours before the scheduled delivery, conveniently through the BigBenta Store website.

As a buyer of products/items or services, how will I be assured that I receive the item I purchased/ordered from BigBenta merchants?

BigBenta requires all store owners to sign a Store Agreement Policy which contain the following provision:

a. Quality – Storeowner warrants, represents and agrees that all shipments of the LISTED PRODUCTS sold or shipped under this AGREEMENT shall be of great quality (free from defects, unexpired, usable and consumable by the consumer) to the full extent of the value indicated on the Product.

Can I cancel my Store subscription?

Store owners can cancel their subscription at any time, but only fees for the unused months will be refunded. The mobilization fee of P2, 500 will not be returned.

Can I get a refund if my ordered item was not delivered?

Refund will be given by BigBenta for undelivered items. Our partner courier’s committed delivery time is five (5) days for Metro Manila and seven (7) days for provincial areas.

What do I need to do to cancel my Store subscriptions?

You may email your request to customersupport@bigbenta.com and expect us to respond within 48 working hours.

As a storeowner, how long does it take for BigBenta to pay/transfer the amount due me from the time the ordered item was picked up for delivery?

You will be paid for all items sold 20 days after delivery, regardless of the payment mode used by the buyer.

What kind of account do BigBenta offer?

Currently, BigBenta in its classified ads service provides only the Basic account subscription. The Basic account subscription provides free classified posting up to 50 ads items. Soon, we will be introducing premium account membership with corresponding value-added-services to enhance the selling capability of the account.

How do I register?

Please register your account by choosing the button “register” and provide all the necessary information. On the other hand, BigBenta provides a possibility of registering an account using authenticated shared social application (i.e Facebook).

Do I need to provide all the information BigBenta requires?

BigBenta requires information that are either optional or mandatory. Optional information will be at user’s discretion, however, mandatory information such as valid mobile number, email address and birthdays are strictly required.

Why do BigBenta requires this information?

BigBenta’s mandatory information requirement such as valid mobile number, email address and birthdays are required to prove authenticity of the account owner and age being an adult. Being a member, BigBenta offers several value added service privileges which an anonymous visitor will not have. It is for this reason that we would like to make sure that all members information are authentic and verified.

What is my guarantee that the information I provided will not be shared to just anyone?

The information that BigBenta will be asking its account members are covered by our Privacy Policy under our general Terms.

I don’t want to accept BigBenta’s terms and conditions. Can I still use BigBenta’s website?

If you are not comfortable sharing mandatory information with BigBenta, then account creation for yourself will not be possible. BigBenta’s website is anyway open to everyone such as anonymous visitors. However, several value added services are only offered to registered members of BigBenta.

Even with basic account, members will get value added services such as seller feeback posting, my favorites, free ads item posting, my interest, private messaging, etc. which will not be offered to anonymous users.

Can I register with more than one account?

Basically, without BigBenta.com’s approval, one user may only register one member account on the site. In order not to cause any confusion to your potential buyers, we suggest you register only one account.

I did not receive the email notification during my account registration. How do I proceed now?

If after checking your email inbox and spam box, the email notification of BigBenta was not receive, please contact us at technical.support@bigbenta.com and we will try to resolve this issue accordingly.

Is it possible to have multiple users in a single account?

As per policy of BigBenta, we don’t allow multiple users in a single account as this arrangement could cause confusion to the buyer and seller. This might also expose the account to hacking, spamming and phising activities.

What will I do if I forgot my password?

Please click the bottom “forgot password” and specify your email address where the password will be sent to you.

I have forgotten my email address I used to register My BigBenta account.

If you are unable to find your BigBenta.com account, please provide us at support@bigbenta.com with the mandatory information you used to register your account (e.g. mobile number, birthday, etc.).

I asked for a new password, but why does not the link I received work?

Please note that the link to retrieve your password will expire automatically within 72 hours after you have received it. If you have clicked “Forget Password” more than once, all the old links except the latest one sent to you will be invalid. Therefore, please make sure you open the latest email that you have received and reset the password using the links in it. If you continue to experience issue, please contact us.

What can I do if I didn’t receive any email to reset my password?

If you did not receive a notification after entering your email address when trying to retrieve password, please check whether the notification was received in the Spam or Trash folder of your personal email account as some email servers will filter valid email by mistake. Meanwhile, please note that Google mails take more time to receive such emails. If you haven’t received our system email, please wait for more time or contact our technical support.

I have tried to retrieve the password, but I have not received the email.

  • Firstly, please check if you have received the email in your trash box or spam box.
  • Some emails such as Gmail or Yahoomail have experienced delays in receiving our password retrieving email, so if you are using such email addresses, we suggest you wait for more time. You may want to check after a few hours.
  • If, after trying for some time, the password issue still remains, please contact our technical support team.

Why my sign in page is in blank?

If your sign in page is in blank, please follow below ways to resolve your issue:

  • Delete cookies for your browser.
  • Use another browser and please try again.
  • Use another computer if instructions 1 and 2 does not work.

Why can’t I sign into my account?

If you cannot sign in to your BigBenta.com account, here are some suggestions:

  • Please ensure you have entered your correct registered email address and password;
  • Please check if your keyboard’s “Caps Lock” light is on as your password is case sensitive;
  • Please also make sure you don’t enter blank spaces before and after your password.
You can also try to retrieve your password to see if a new password can resolve the sign-in issue. If you are still having problems signing in, please contact our technical support.

I forget my password. Would you please reset a password for me?

Please retrieve your new password directly by clicking “forgot password”. If the page did not load, please check your internet connection. If you still are unable to retrieve a new password, please contact our technical support team.

When I sign in, the system keeps asking me to log in. What can I do?

  • We suggest you try using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
  • Please delete the cookies in your computer.
  • Please also try to close the Anti-virus software to see whether the problem can be solved.

When I try to sign in, I receive an error message “Your account name or password is incorrect”. What can I do?

This error message indicates the email address or the password you are using to sign into is incorrect. If you cannot sign in using the correct registered email address, we suggest you retrieve a new password. If you have forgotten your registered email address on BigBenta.com, please contact us, and provide your registration information, such as birthday, contact person name and mobile number etc.

I can not log in with my correct password.

Please check if there is any error message after you enter your registered email address/ID and password. If it has error message such as ID/password incorrect, please check again for your email address/ID and password and make sure you have entered them correctly and make sure there is no space. Furthermore, if there is no error message and also it has no response after you enter the email and password, please try using another internet browser or use another computer or delete cookies for your browser and try again. You might be having problems with cookies in your browser. You”re advised to delete the cookies from your browser. If you tried all the ways above and still could not log into your account, please contact us at technical.support@bigbenta.com.

How long must I wait to log in?

Normally, it will take no longer than 5 second to sign in with your registered email and correct password. If the sign in page is not loading, you can again using another internet browser or delete cookies of your browser.

I am from another country and I cannot sign into My BigBenta.com account.

If you are from another country and you are unable to sign into BigBenta.com with the correct account and password, the problem could be due to your local Internet Service Connection in your country. Therefore, please contact your local Internet Service Provider directly for support.

I change my password but it is not working.

Please try again and pay attention to the following:

What is phishing?

Phishing is a fraudulent means of attempting to acquire personal data (e.g. usernames, account passwords or credit card details, etc.) or any other valuable information by pretending to be a trustworthy company or person. Phishing messages are usually sent by email or by instant messenger. Scammers use phishing emails to cheat BigBenta.com’s honest sellers and negatively affect the e-commerce environment. This fraud was mainly invented to steal your BigBenta.com member ID, password and other personal details. When obtained, fraudsters can sign in to your account, pretend to be you and commit scams in your name. They can also direct your attention to a fake website, ask you to make a payment and steal your money.

How can I recognize a phishing email?

Key features of typical phishing emails/websites include the following aspects:

Fake Email Address

Fraudsters typically send emails using fake email addresses. Some of these addresses may appear to be real such as salealert@service.bigbenta.com or security@bigbenta.com. Please be aware that the “From” field in emails can be easily altered and that it is not a reliable indicator of the true origin of an email.

Non-Personal, General Greetings

Most fraud emails start with a general greeting such as Dear BigBenta Member; or Dear BigBenta User. Please take note that emails from BigBenta.com start with your first name, i.e. (Dear/Hi Mark,).

Stress Urgency/Threaten Your Account Status

Fraudulent emails typically claim that your account has been suspended and that you need to supply your personal information, such as your Member ID, password or credit card number without any explanation. They will also try to scare you into “taking an urgent action” by threatening to suspend your account if you do not provide sensitive information as soon as possible.

Fake Website Addresses (URLs)

Fake emails usually contain website addresses (URLs) that link to fake websites that asks for your personal info. Please be aware that if BigBenta.com requests information from you, we will always direct you back to the BigBenta.com site (www.bigbenta.com).

Fake Feedback Forms

Many fraud emails will ask you to click a link or complete a form which is similar to those provided by BigBenta.com. Through this ploy, fraudsters hope to trick you to share your personal details such as Member ID, password or credit card information.

Reference to the BigBenta.com User Agreement

In their emails/websites, fraudsters constantly refer to the BigBenta.com User Agreement in order to appear legitimate and authoritative. To counter this, just email our Customer Support Team at customer.support@bigbenta.com should you have any inquiries.

Fake BigBenta.com Sign-Off

To appear legitimate, fraudsters will also sign off their fraudulent emails using normal BigBenta.com sign offs, such as security.support@bigbenta.com. If you are unsure of the legitimacy of the email that you received or you may have been a victim of phishing emails/websites, please contact us and sign in to your My BigBenta to change your password immediately.

What can I do if I were a victim of phishing?

Inform all your partners/customers that your account had been phished and ask them make any payment to any account without your prior authorization. If payment had already been made, please ask the partner/buyer to notify the bank of the fraud and let the bank block the transfer immediately.Revise your BigBenta.com account details:

  • Change your email address.
  • Reset your account password.
  • Remove your sub-accounts or the email addresses of other sub-account holders (if applicable).
  • Delete products that were not displayed by you (if applicable). Scammers may use your account to display their products.
Note: If you were unable to sign in to your account due to any phishing activities, please contact us immediately.

Can I change my password without signing in?

Yes, have to visit the recover page and place the email address you nominated during registration.

How do I edit my member profile?

Please sign-in to your My BigBenta account using your current username and password. From there choose your profile menu and choose Edit profile.

How can I modify my contact information?
  • Sign in to BigBenta and proceed to My BigBenta
  • Click Edit profile
  • Modify/edit your member information
  • Submit it when complete
How do I change the language in My BigBenta?

This feature will be supported soon. Currently, this feature is under development.

How can I add two email addresses for my account?

Please be advised that you can use one registered email for your account. If you have another email address that is often used, we suggest you add it to your BigBenta.com account as an alternative email. It can be added in the Member Profile. Kindly note that only your registered email can be used to sign into your BigBenta.com account.

How can I hide my contact details?
  • Sign in to BigBenta and proceed to My BigBenta
  • Click Settings
  • At the tab Settings untick the Display my contact numbers.
I did not complete the About the Seller. How can I delete or modify it?

Please sign-in to your My BigBenta account using your current username and password. From there choose your profile menu and choose edit about the seller.

How can I upload my photo in My BigBenta?
  • Sign in to BigBenta and proceed to My BigBenta
  • Click Edit Profile
  • Click the Browse button and browse your photo from your device.
How can I remove my mobile phone number?

As mobile number is a mandatory information to maintain membership account to active, removing it will not be allowed. You can only update the mobile phone number and the system will once more validate this new number.

How long does it take to make changes on the BigBenta.com profile?

After you modify your account profile, it will be updated and displayed in BigBenta within 3 hours after submitting. Please take note however, that if the content of your profile violates BigBenta’s terms and conditions, your account will be suspended after feedback and report is submitted to us.

How can I deactivate my account?
  • Sign in to BigBenta and proceed to My BigBenta
  • Click Settings
  • Select the tab Deactivation tab.
  • Enter your reason.
  • Enter password.
  • Click the Deactivate my account button.
How can I activate a deactivated account?

If your account is deactivated due to any security reason, the system will notify you (via flag) as soon as you log-in. Please log into your account and just follow the instructions shown on that page and submit the related documents and information, so that your account can be considered for reactivatation. After you submit the documents and information, please allow about 3 working days to have your account verified. After all your account information has been checked, you will receive a notification email informing you if your account can be reactivated or not.

My deactivated account is still showing in search engines.

After your account has been deactivated, any related information will be removed from BigBenta.com within 24 hours. If you are still able to find your information on any internet search engines, please click the searched result to see if the link can still be opened. If yes, then please contact us and provide us with the link so that it can be verified. If the link for the searched result cannot be opened anymore, it means your information on BigBenta.com has been succcessfully removed. In that instance, please contact the specific search engine company to remove your information.

I have my account cancelled, but why can I still log in?

Once the account is deactivated, it takes 24 hours for the information listed under the account to be fully removed from BigBenta.com.

What are the requirements needed for the reactivation of my account?

Just login to BigBenta using your nominated credentials (username and password). You may also contact us customer.support@bigbenta.com if you have any difficulties reactivating your account.

I want to cancel the account, but I cannot login to the account.

If you want to cancel your account but are unable to sign in, then please Contact Us (customer.support@bigbenta.com) with the following information:

  • Your Full Name as registered in your account.
  • Your registered mobile number.
  • Your registered email address.

Why was my account deactivated?

We are sorry to hear that your account has been deactivated. You might have 5 subsequent failed login attempts at BigBenta. If you have not done any login attempts and felt this inconsistencies, please send us email at technical.support@bigbenta.com using your registered email address at BigBenta.

My account is closed for security reason. What does it mean?

Please be advised that security checks are carried out randomly for all members on the site. They are regularly run by BigBenta.com to ensure that our website is a safe e-commerce environment both for buyers and sellers. Rest assured that these security checks are strictly confidential, thus your information will never be seen or shared with or by any third-party company. To apply for account reactivation, please sign in and click "Appeal for account reactivation" to upload the necessary documents and information. Or, please simply contact us customer.support@bigbenta.com if you have any difficulties reactivating the account.
